I am a homebirth midwife and have been attending births for over 24 years.

All three of my children were cared for by homebirth midwives and they were born by cesarean, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and homebirth. These personal birth experiences led me on my path to pursue being a traditional midwife.

I obtained my midwifery certification & licensure after working as an apprentice midwife, learning from my midwife mentors and from the women and families who invited me to birth. I chose the traditional form of education and learning through apprenticeship known as the PEP process through the North American Registry of Midwives.

I am a nationally Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and a licensed midwife in the states of Hawaii (MW-22) and Oregon (LDM).

I served as the regional representative for the Oregon Midwifery Council for a two year term.

While working towards my midwifery certification, I worked in a busy water birth center attending women as an apprentice midwife under supervision.

I worked as a medical office assistant (MOA) at a busy college health clinic. As the lead phlebotomist, I managed the in house laboratory. Additionally, I assisted the primary doctor and the FNPs with their patient care, which included: women’s health care, gynecology and birth control, vaccinations, general practice for students and staff and emergency campus care.

I also provided in-home clinical assessments and examinations for life insurance policies.

Born and raised on the beaches of Southern California, I then went on to raise my three beautiful children in the coastal mountains and valleys of Oregon. This is where I started practicing midwifery and established myself as a primary midwife. I currently practice on Maui, Hawaii. I spent one year back in Oregon to accept the honor of being my grandsons midwife and to be with my family.

I am privileged to serve the mamas and families of Maui who invite me to care for them during their most sacred time of pregnancy, birth & meeting their babies.

I am passionate about providing quality midwifery care to healthy, low risk families and gently welcoming babies into their mother’s arms.
