AMANDA MOORE, CPM, LM
I am a nationally Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and a Licensed Midwife in the states of Hawaii and Oregon actively attending births for over 25 years.
I obtained my midwifery certification & licensure after working as an apprentice midwife, learning from my midwife mentors and from the women and families who invited me to homebirth. Some of my training included being a primary midwife and assistant while under supervision at a busy midwifery run water birth center. My traditional education was an apprenticeship model known as the PEP process through the North American Registry of Midwives.
In addition to my midwifery training, I gained clinical experience as a lead phelobotomist and as a medical office assistant in a college campus health clinic. My position included assisting the physician and the FNP’s with their patient care, which included: vaccinations, women’s health: birth control and gynecology, general practice concerns for students and staff and emergency response campus care.
Born and raised on the beaches of Southern California, I then went on to raise my three beautiful children in the coastal mountains and valleys near Eugene, Oregon. This is where I started practicing midwifery and established myself as a primary midwife. I have mostly lived my adult life in the country where I home birthed and raised my children, planted my gardens, hand built my home and followed my dreams.
My midwifery practice is now serving the beautiful families on the island of Maui, Hawaii.
